The next day,

Shadow had gotten himself into a fight with one of the older boys by trying to stop him from picking on Mae-lin, his little heroic act earned him a black eye which he covered as he ran in panic down one of the halls...and it was only 730: AM... ~

Boy- GET BACK HERE YOU LITTLE PUNK!!

~ shadow just ran as  fast as he could , he tripped and fall as he tried to turn a Connor landing hard on his stomach, he was about to scramble to his feet when he was grabbed and flipped to his back, the boy was standing over him glaring~

Shadow- g-get off me!

~Shadow struggled trying to get free but it was no use under the older boys wight, the boy smirked and pulled his fist back ready to punch him in the face again when  suddenly the Lady who brought Shadow to the orphanage ran up*

Woman- TONY! You get off him right now young man!!

~ The older boy jumped up  to his feet even helping Shadow up~

Woman- *Picks shadow up* what on earth were you doing?!

Tony- I-..uh..he...

Woman- Just as I thought..Go to your bed, I'll be there in a moment...

Tony- Y-yes ma'am..

~The boy then ran off as the woman looked Shadow over ~

Woman- You okay Little one?...Did he give you that black eye??

~ Shadow gave a nod sniffling slightly ~

Woman- Aww..*shakes head*..Well..you have a visitor but..perhaps we should have them-

Shadow-  V-VISITOR?!?!?

~ Shadow slipped out of her arms and Ran down the halls  heading to the main room as fast as he could~

Shadow- Momma?! Daddy?!?

~ He looked around quickly at the people there but Sonic and Amy were no where in sight..~

Shadow-........

~Poor shadow..tears started to roll down his cheeks . he was about to go back to where his bed was when he was scooped up from behind ~

rouge- Hey There Cutie ^^ I thought I saw you being taken her yesterday

Shadow- R-ROUGE!


Rouge-*Chuckles* That's my name

~Shadow clung to her, he had forgotten all about the G.U.N. incident, all he cared about at the moment was that he was with someone who know him and that could take him away from the child's home, Rouge was a little surprised when he held onto her like that and that at the fact he had a black eye ~

rouge- Hey, what's wrong?

Shadow- I-i-i Wanna go home!

~Rouge stared at him a moment as he buried his face in her shoulder, she still felt horrible for getting him captured by G.U.N.. she grinned and rubbed his back walking to the front door~

Worker- Pardon me ma'am!

~ The female worker came running up to stop her ~

Rouge- what?

Worker- I'm sorry but you can't just take that child...

Rouge- oh really?

worker- Yes ma'am

Rouge- Well....I am, how do you like that?

Worker- Um..Ma'am  I'm afraid I'm going to have to call the cops..

Rouge-you do that  *Carries Shadow out*

Worker- Wait! ma'am! someone call the cops!!

~ Rouge quickly took off flying, she COULD have just explained shadow's situation but where was the fun in that? ~

Rouge- Hang on there Shadow, I'm taking you home , I bet Amy and Sonic are going nuts trying to find you

Shadow- H-home?..T-thank you Rouge!!

~ Rouge smiled as Shadow hugged her all the way to Sonic's house,  she landed and set the young hedgehog down ~

Rouge- go on shadow ^^

~Shadow grinned and ran up to the door~

Shadow- *knocking on the door as hard as he can* Mommy! Daddy! I'm back!!!

~ There was no answer ~

Shadow-.M-mommy?....

~ Rouge walks up and knocks, there was still no answer, she looks down at Shadow a moment, his ears were drooped and his eyes were starting to tear up, he finally got home and Sonic and Amy where gone!?! it wasn't fair ~

Rouge-*Picks him up* Hey now, come on Shadow ^^"  Lets go see if there at Amy's

~Shadows ears perked back up, that's right they could still be at Amy's! , Rouge quickly flew there and again sat Shadow down, he quickly ran to the door again, but this time only knocked..afraid of what might happen if they were not there either...~

Shadow-......*Ears Perk at the sound of foot steps*

~Amy Rose opened the door a moment later, Rouge was standing there smiling and pointing down ~

Amy- Rouge?

~ Eye's eyes widened and she let out S small gasp ~

Amy- SHADOW!?!?!?

Shadow- M-MOMMY!!!!

~Amy Rose dropped to her knees and held shadow close crying, she had begun to think she'd never see him again, she had thought she had lost..her baby...
Shadow too Held onto Amy tight, his face buried in her red dress as he cried saying "mommy" over and over, Rouge quitely left, feeling that it'd be for the best and took off flying decided now was as good a time as any to go clear things up at the children home before she's a wanted kidnapper

After a few minutes Amy Rose picked Shadow up and carried him inside, she sat on the couch with him on her lap ~

Amy Rose- *Stroking his head* Oy sweet heart I..I'm so glad you're back..where have you been??? Why did you run off?!

Shadow- I-I thought silver had c-changed me back to n-normal ...s-so I ran off...*sniffles* Then A cop found me and I ended up in an orphanage..T-they wouldn't l-let me come h-home!

~Amy hugged him again as he started to cry some more ~

Shadow- I tried to tell them I had a mommy and daddy b-but they wouldn't listen! and-and I r-really wanted to come home

Amy- *hugs him* shh..shh...it's okay..my poor baby...it's alight..you're home now..that's all that matters....oy I love you Shadow....

Shadow- *Sniffles rubbing eye, hugs back* I-..I love you too Mommy...

~ Amy Smiled and continued to stroke his head as he told her about everything that happened after he had ran away from Silver till he fell asleep, She carried him off and laid him in his crib which was still set up in her bedroom.~

Amy- Hum... Looks like we'll have to go shopping..someone needs a new bed X3 oh! I need to go tell Sonic!

~ Amy Rose quickly left Shadow to finish his nap and called Sonic, who came over while still talking on his cell phone ~

Sonic- Amy! Where is he??!? Is he okay?!

Amy- Yes,yes! *hugs Sonic* He's okay..he's had a hard time but he's sleeping now., I'll tell you what he told me...oh And Sonic?

Sonic- oy..Yes Ames?

Amy- *points to the cell phone* You can hang up now XD

Sonic- Hee,hee ^^"

~Shadow woke up around lunch time, in fact it was the smell of food that had woken him up, he sat up and rubbed his eyes then looked around, and grinned seeing he was still in Amy's room, and that it hadn't been a dream, He got up and climbed over the bars dropping down to his feet~

Shadow- Ha! Never again shall you contain me you stupid crib! XP

~Shadow, proudly marched into the kitchen, where he quickly hugged Amy's legs as she stood at the stove~

Amy-?? Hey there sleepy head! ^^ *bends down and picks him up* Feeling better?

Shadow- Yeah ^^"..Hey! I'm big enough to get out of my crib now!

~Shadow said beaming, he may not be his normal age and height but at  least he's not a baby anymore ~

Amy-*Chuckles* Looks like it x3..Hey..Daddy's waiting is in the front go say hi okay?? ^^

~Amy put him down and Shadow ran into the  living room~

Shadow- SONIC!

~Sonic  nearly fell out of his chair when Shadow jumped up into his lap hugging him~

Sonic- Ooff! Whoa! Shadow! *hugs him back* Man little Faker..you had us worried...

Shadow- I'm sorry...

Sonic- Yes..Well..Don't run off like that again okay?

~Shadow gave sonic a nod looking down, truth was if he had known what would have happened he wouldn't have asked Silver to try and alter his age in the first place~

sonic -Grins* Well...come on Faker XP lets get some chow

Shadow- okay XD

~Sonic swung shadow onto his shoulders and walked into the kitchen,  he set him by the table as Amy finished cooking~

Shadow- Oh..oh...oh yes

~Shadow said ignoring the highchair and climbing onto the of the seats at the table..he gave a content sigh and grinned , Both Amy and Sonic laughed ~

Amy- Well

~She said placing a bowl of Mac'& cheese down in front of him and handing him a fork~

Amy- looks like SOMEONE is happy to be a big bigger x3

Shadow-..You have..no idea..Yes! no diapers, bibs, stupid cribs , playpens or any of that baby junk! I'm free!!

sonic- Well hang on there Shadow..You still need to listen to us, understand? you're still only four...

Shadow-* sighs* I know ^^"....I'm just glad to be back and..Oohh Thank you mommy!

~Shadow dug into his Mac and cheese  eating it all and asking for seconds ~

Amy- oy..What are we going to do with you Shadow x3

Shadow- *giggles* XP X3

Sonic- Hum....you know I have an idea, He's close enough to Cream and Charmy's ages now so ..

Amy- Maybe we should make a play date?! that's a great idea!

~Shadow nearly spit his food out at the sound of "cream" and "Date" ~

Shadow- Nnooo way! I don't wanna go anywhere near her!

Sonic- Oh relax Shadow XD come on bud you're bigger now, she couldn't dress you up even if she wanted to XD

~Shadow grumbled ~

Amy- We'll go to Vanillas' place after we take him to the doctors

sonic- Yeah, need to get the shiner looked at...

~Shadow started coughing at that, Sonic quickly reached over and pat his back a few times~

Shadow- I don't need to go to the doctors! Oo"

Amy- shadow..come on sweety it'll be okay ^^ We just want to get you checked out..you did tell us you were in a fight yesterday....

~ Shadow looked toward the front door,  already ready to brake his word of not running off again, Sonic saw the look on his face and picked him up~

Sonic- Tell you what Ame's, Since he's already done eating, I'll take him to the doctors, We'll meet you over at vinilla's okay?

Amy- okay ^^ Be good sweety ^^

Shadow- b-bye

~ Sonic blasted out of the house and down to the hospital~

Shadow- S-sonic wait! come on, I don't want to go in there! I'm fine! my eye doesn't even hurt!

Sonic- I know Shadow but we should make sure, It won't take too long I promise okay?

Shadow-*Sighs* Okay..

sonic- Theres a good boy!

~Shadow simply grumbled as Sonic carried him in, set up the appointment then sat in the waiting room. sonic let Shadow play with some of the toys that were in one corner as they waited until a nurse came to the door ~

Nurse- Shadow the hedgehog?

sonic- oop *Gets up, walks over and scoops Shadow up*  Here he is

Nurse- Great ^^ Follow me please ^^

~Shadow gulped as Sonic carried him into where the examination rooms are, and placed him on one  of the examination tables once they were shown which room to go in ~

Nurse- The doctor will be in in a few moments ^^

Sonic- Okay thanks ^^

~Shadow fidgeted on the cold table*......I don't like doctors...

Sonic-..Me either to tell the truth *Laughs*

Shadow- I'm leaving if they try to check my  temperature..

~Sonic cocked his head, not knowing what had happened during Shadow's stay at the daycare ~

Sonic- Why??

~Shadow's ears flattened slightly and he blushed~

Shadow- N-no reason..

sonic- Shadow..come on you can tell me..

Shadow-...fine..um..T-the lady at the daycare u-um..took it..

Sonic-..**Blinks*..So?...

~Shadow gave him an embarrassed glare~

Sonic-...? OH!..oh..ohohohoohoh...oh..I get it..um..oy sorry about that little faker ^^"..but you don't have to be worried about that now..you're too old for that style of temp check..

~Shadow's ears perked as a look of great relief washed over him ~

Shadow- r-really????

Sonic-*Laughs* Yep, They'll most likely check it through you're ear x3

Shadow-..ear....okay..that doesn't sound bad...

~sonic chuckled...a few minutes later a Female doctor walked in ~

doctor- Hello there, you must be Sonic, and this is Little Shadow?

Sonic- Yep!

Shadow- *Grumbles*...

Doctor- Well lets get this little guy looked at shall we?

~ The doctor walked over and started to look shadow over~

Doctor- Wow, that's quite a black  eye you have there...What happened?

sonic- He was in a fight with a older boy

Doctor- Awww poor kid..Lets see..It's not swollen so that's good, the bruising should subside in a day or two. lets see..ears look good, reflexes are shockingly good...lets see...lets check your    temperature shall we? ^^

~Shadow tensed slightly as she pulled out the checker..then relaxed when he saw it was in fact meant for the ear, she placed the tip carefully into his ear and waited for a beep before looking at it ~

Doctor- 98.4... Perfectly normal ^^

Sonic- Great!

Doctor-  all is left is some booster shots, we don't have him on file here so, has he had his boosters?

~ shadow's eyes went wide, as did Sonic's they both HATED needles... Sonic looked from the doctor to shadow then back again ~

sonic- Well..um....no..no he hasn't

Doctor- okay then, we best get them done with.

~ Shadow backed away from the doctor as she stepped to the side to get the shots ~

Doctor- Okay here we go ^^

~ The doctor went to take Shadow's arm so she could wipe a spot clean, but he jerked his arm free and reached out to sonic ~

Shadow- S-sonic!

Sonic- ^^"

doctor- Aaww...don't tell me a big boy like you is scared of shots..come on you'll only feel a slight  pinch ^^

~ The doctor tried to take his arm again but he pulled free again and jumped down from the table, he quickly went over and grabbed onto Sonic's legs starting to cry ~

shadow- Sonic! P-please sonic! I d-don't wanna get a shot!! pleaseplease!!

~ The look on shadow's face as he started to cry was making it very hard for sonic to not just scoop him up and zoom off...but he knew it was best if Shadow were to just get his booster shots now instead of getting really, really sick later ~

Sonic- shadow I...

Doctor- Wait a moment...

~ The doctor bent down so she was closer to shadow's height ~

Doctor-Hey..would it be better if Daddy held you??

Shadow- U-uh-huh.....He's n-not my d-daddy though..

~ The Doctor chuckled and Sonic picked shadow up and sat him in his lap, he help hold Shadow's arm out, shadow shut his eye's tight as the doctor rubbed an prep pad on a spot near his wrist He kept his's eye shut...until he peeked to see if they were done..sadly as he opened his eyes slightly the doctor was just inserting another shot and Shadow started to cry, not from any pain but just from fear ~

Sonic- Shh,shh it's okay...

Doctor- Almost...done! There!

~The doctor took the second shot out and put a super hero Band-Aid on his arm~

Doctor- you were such a  brave boy ^^

~ Shadow sniffed a bit looking at the Band-Aid it was pretty cool ~

Doctor- Would you like a sucker??? ^^

~Shadow gave her a nod, not moving from sonic's lap~

Doctor- okay then,  follow me, we'll get you the billing information  as well XD

~Sonic chuckled and carried Shadow to a desk near the door into the waiting room, The doctor reached into a jar and pulled out a lemon sucker ~

Doctor- *Hand's it to Shadow* There you go ^^

Sonic- What do you say Shadow?

Shadow- T-thank you..

Doctor ^^..Now lets get you're bill XD


~ Soon sonic and Shadow were zooming over to Vinilla's for the playdate ~

sonic- See, that wasn't so bad now was it?

Shadow- Humph..*Sucking on his sucker* I guess not...

Sonic- *Laughs* well here we are


Cream- OH MY GOSH!

~Shadow's sucker fell out of his mouth as Cream run out of her and her mother's house to greet him and Sonic~

Cream- Hi Shadow! Now that you're big we can finally have some real fun! ^^
