THE BABE MACHINE

WEEK ONE DAY TWO


~ Sonic ran out of his house at 6:30 in the morning~

Sonic- SHADOW?!?!?!?!! OOOyyyy Amy is going to kill me!!

~After a few moments of panic he runs to Amy's place and bangs on the door until she opens it, his eyes grow wide and he jumps back about because she had a light green mudpack on her face and her spines where wrapped up on her head with a towel~

Sonic- AMY!?!!? e.O;

Amy-Sonic?!?!? e.O...-.-....What is it Sonic?

Sonic- Um...>.>; er...Shadows gone!

Amy- WHAT!?!!?!? What did you do?!?!?

~Suddenly she has her Pikopiko hammer out and is about to slam it down on Sonic's head~

Sonic- O.O WAIT! It's not my fault!! I woke up and he was gone and the front door was open, I don't know how he got to the crib's claps...Please! You have to help me find him!!

~Amy nods as she puts her hammer away and slams the door shut, she then opens it up a moment later now in her red dress, boots gloves and headband~

Amy- I'll look at Tails’, you use your speed to check everywhere else! *runs off*

Sonic- Right!

~Sonic zoomed off starting at the far gate that leads into the village and criss-crossed until he came to the ring pool and saw a small black and red lump in the grass curled up tightly into a ball and shivering~

Sonic- SHADOW! *Runs over and quickly picks him up* Shadow!?! Oy...

Shadow-*shivering, eyes are shut tight* M...m... Maria...

Sonic- OOOyyyy!

~Sonic zoomed back to his house, he quickly gets Shadow out of his pjs and diaper, and wraps him in a warm towel~

Sonic- Oy, stay right there!

~Sonic zooms and finds Amy, he grabs her arm and zooms back without stopping~

Amy- e.O what??!

Sonic- Amy! I found Shadow! He was by the ring pool soaked and shivering!

Amy- Oy!

~she runs over and picks Shadow up, she felt his forehead, he was hot but still shivering, Amy’s ears flatten slightly~

Amy- Sonic, I want to you to get some pedilight form the store ok??

Sonic- right! *zooms off, zooms back a moment later*...Um...What pedielight? ^^;

Amy- -.-; a special drink for babies now go!!

Sonic- Right! *Zooms off again*

~Amy takes Shadow over to the changing table and lays him down on his stomach~

Amy- I need to take your temperature Shadow ok?

Shadow-*Moans* m...Maria!! *Starts crying*

Amy- Oy...

~Amy gets a jar of vailine out and rubs some on his bottom, she shakes the glass thermometer  a little then slowly inserted it, Shadow just lays there shivering and crying ~

Sonic- BACK! e.O what are you doing to him???

Amy- I'm taking his temperature *slowly pulls it out and reads it, sighs* He has a fever...but it's not so high that we need to take him to the hospital...

Sonic- *Gives a small sigh of relief* that’s good...

~ Amy cleans the rest of the Vaseline off with a baby wipe and gets him into a diaper and a nice new warm pair of underoos while Sonic gets a bottle ready for him, Amy sits down on the couch in the front and holds Shadow after wrapping him in a blanket~


Shadow-A...a...a...Amy?*Opens his eyes and looks up at her shivering*

Amy- *smiles at him softly looking worried* Hi there ^^;

Shadow- W...W...what happened? W...why am I so cold?

Amy- *Hugs him tightly* because you somehow ran away last night...Sonic found you by the ring pool soaked to the bone...

Shadow-*Shivers and actually snuggles closer to her...for warmth of course* O...oh...I...I remember...Um...I...I guess I'm...s...sorry too....um...I...I'm cold..

Amy- *Still hugging him* I know sweetie, I know, it's ok

Sonic- Here’s that bottle Amy!

Amy- Thanks so...*Blinks at the purple liquid in the bottle* uh...

Sonic- They didn't have any regular sooo um I grabbed grape ^^;

Amy- Oh.*Giggles, takes it and places it at Shadow's mouth*

~Shadow sighs, it looked like he was doomed until Tails got back...but that didn't mean he was just going to give in...But...he decided he was to cold and tired to fight at the moment ssooo~

Shadow-*Takes a suck* Oo; BLICK! What is that nasty st...?Stuff?!?

Amy- Um, It's A special drink to keep you hydrated...^^; you went through the whole night with nothing to drink and that's not good...so please drink it Shadow...

Shadow-*sighs again* Fine...

~Shadow drinks every drop and falls asleep in Amy's arms finally no longer shivering~

Sonic- Oy....I'm glad he's doing better....

Amy- *gently rocking Shadow* ya...

Sonic- Hey...You know what? You’re pretty good at this...

Amy-*Blinks and looks at him* at what?

Sonic- This *Gestures at her holding Shadow* this whole taking care of a baby thing...

Amy-..Oh *Blushes slightly* Thanks ^/^ I've babysat a lot of little kids ^^;

Sonic- Really? Cool *Chuckles* so, what do we do now?

Amy- Well, we need to check his thempectur again to make sure his fever has gone down, he may have a cold for the next few days so it’s important we keep him warm and that he gets lots of rest

Sonic- Ok...Hum, I'll go see if anyone sells covers for the crib's latches so he can't get out again

Amy- oh! That’s a great idea Sonic! ^^

Sonic- Thanks ^^; I'll go do that now, be right back *Zooms off*

Amy- *Smiles* Whelp, let’s get you in bed little one ^^

~Shadow just snuggles in her arms still fast asleep while she takes and tucks him back into his crib~

Amy- *Sighs and softly strokes his head* I know you hate being like this...but I'm kind of glad you are ^^;

Sonic-*Zooms in and puts some plastic covers on the crib's latches* Glad of what?

Amy- Oo; Oh nothing ^^;

Sonic- Ok 8D I'm going to go get a Chile dog *Walks off*

Amy-...-.-....

~Shadow wakes up about two and a half hours later ~

Shadow- *Sits up rubbing his eyes* Mmmmm...

~He feels strange and looks down, there was a large wet spot on the front of his diaper, Shadow starts tearing up~

Shadow- *Crying* W...w...wait! Don’t cry you little wimp! Y.y...You just ha...ha...have...A WET DIAPER!!

~Amy runs in as Shadow starts to REALLY cry~

Amy- what’s wrong sweetie?!?

~Shadow just cries as she picks him ~

Amy- Oooohhhh, Some went potty ^^ its ok, Mommy will clean you all up ^^

~Amy goes and lays Shadow back on the changing table~

Amy- Shadow! It’s ok, settle down!

~Shadow is STILL crying his eyes out, Amy sighs  and cleans him up but doesn't slip him into a new diaper yet ~

Amy- There you go, all clean ^^;

Shadow-*Sniffling and still crying slightly* ...W...w...why....c...c...can't...I...I...I...I stop crying?!?!

Amy-*Rubbing his back* because you had a wet diaper and babies don't like it when there in dirty or wet diapers sweetie ^^ but you're all dry now ^^

Shadow- *Sniffles and wipes his eyes* T...that’s stupid...

Amy- *Sighs* Well, that’s the way it is, now, be a good boy and stay still so Mommy can see if your fever has broken ok? ^^ *Grabs the jar of Vaseline again*

Shadow- Why do I n...need to stay still? A...and you're not my mother...-.-

Amy- Sorry ^^; *Rubs some on his bottom* But I am kind of your mother now...unless you want me to leave you alone and have Sonic be the one to care for you...

shadow- e.O..,,,If you put it that way....fine...you can call yourself mommy...but don't hold your breath thinking I'm going to call you that...and what are you doing?!?

Amy- thanks ^^; and I told you, I need to see if your fever is gone so I need to take your temperature ^^;

Shadow-...But...what’s that goo, O.O NO! YOU CAN'T BE THINKING OF TAKENING IT THAT WAY!!!! *Starts trying to crawl away*

Amy- *Presses down on his back to keep him still* Sorry Shadow, this is the best way to take a baby's temperature, besides, I've already done this to you once ^^; so please be good and hold still, if you move around something bad might happen ^^;

Shadow- O.O BUT I DUN WANT MY temperature TAKEN THIS WAY!!!

~Amy sighs and slowly inserts the thermometer up Shadow's bottom wishing he was incoherent again~

Shadow- O.O AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OUTOUTOUTOUT!! TAKE IT OUT! PLEASE!!!! *Starts crying*

Amy- Oy, Hang in there, almost done ^^;

Sonic- What’s going on? Oh...>.>; I don't blame him for yelling his head off...that looks so wrong...>.>;

Amy- ^^; Maybe we should think about getting a baby ear thermometer also...

~Sonic nods as Amy slowly pulls the thermometer  out and reads it while wiping the extra Vaseline off Shadow's bottom again~

Amy- Well, at least there’s good news, ^^ His fevers gone~ ^^ hopefully he'll only go through a 24 four flu type thing ^^;

Sonic- Ya...well at least he's doing better ^^ *Walks over and picks up the still crying Shadow* hey there Little Faker, shh, settle down, you’re ok now, it's all over ^^ you won't need to go through that again for the rest of the day

~Shadow held onto the soft fur of Sonic's chest starting to feel better, it was nice being held and there was something comforting about being able to hear the blue hedgehog's heart beat as he laid his head on him~

Shadow- R...really?

Sonic- Yep ^^...now...let’s get you some lunch, you have to be starving

~Amy smiles as Sonic walks off with the little black and red hedgehog~

Amy- ^Wow...Sonic might make a great father one day...^ *Sighs with a dreamy smile* No wonder I love him...*Blinks* OH! We forgot a new diaper!! *Runs out after with one and the baby powder*

~Sonic sets Shadow on the kitchen counter once he enter the kitchen and looks into the fridge for some baby food~

Sonic Lllleeeetttt'ssss sseeeee.....Creamy broccie?

Shadow- No...

Sonic- Kay, um...mashed yams?

Shadow- No...

Sonic-.uuuhhhh...Chicken and stars?

Shadow- No...Wait...um...can I see it?

Sonic- Sure ^^

~Sonic pulls out the creamy yellow jar and shows it to Shadow~

Shadow-..Um...can I try it? Not saying I'll eat it though *quickly crosses his arms*

Sonic- That’s ok, we’ll check the other jars until we find something you like ok? *Opens the jar and pours it into a bowl to heat it up~

Shadow- Really? Thanks

Sonic- No problem ^^

Amy- *Walks in* There you are little boy, Daddy took you away before you got your new diaper ^^

~Sonic didn't flinch this time, in fact now that he thought about it he kind of liked being called "dad" ~
Shadow- I don't want a diaper! I want to use the bathroom like everyone else!

Amy- *Sighs*...Shadow you’re too little to...

Sonic- Hum...Wait a moment Amy...*Picks Shadow up* Keep an eye on his lunch please...*Walks off*

Amy- But...where are you going???

~Sonic takes Shadow to the bathroom and sets him down~

Shadow- you're going to let me use the bathroom???

Sonic- Yep! That is...if you can sit on the toilet seat,

Shadow- That’s easy!

~Shadow crawls over to the toilet and looks up, it was much taller than it was before he was changed~

Shadow- Hum...maybe not THAT easy...

~Sonic just grinned and leaned in the door way as Shadow started to try and pull himself up...which he did after the longest time~

Shadow- There! Told you I could do it *Smirks*

Sonic- You sure did...now sit down

Shadow- What?

Sonic- sit down, you don't think you can use it while on your knees and being sideways do you? *chuckles*

Shadow-..Oh...right...

~Shadow's ears flatten slightly as he slowly moves around and sits on the seat's rim~

Sonic- Very good! But you're too far forward to use it

~Shadow gulped and moved back slightly~

Sonic- Better but not enough

~Shadow, backed up some more~

Sonic- Still not there

~ Shadow backed up even more but couldn't hang on and fell into the bowl~

Shadow- UHG!

Sonic-*Chuckles and pulls him out* that was a little too much, but do you see what Amy was saying? You're just too little at the moment to use the toilet Shadow sorry

Shadow- humph...not fair...*Crosses arms and frowns*

Sonic- *Dries him off* that’s not an attitude I hear is it? Because you know little hedgehogs with attitude get a spanking and no lunch right?

Shadow-*quickly uncrosses his arms*...Sorry...can I eat now?

Sonic- Sure thing *Grins and zooms back to the kitchen* Ok, were done ^^

Amy- 'Bout time, I've kept Shadow lunch warm, you ready for a diaper? ^^

~Shadow looks up at sonic who nods~

Shadow- *Sighs* Yeeesssss....

Amy- *Takes him * Good boy! ^^ *Lays him on the counter and quickly powders him and tapes the diaper up* There ^^ *sits him in his highchair* Do you want Mommy or Daddy to feed you?

Shadow-...Can't I feed myself?

Amy- Well...Ok, but if you get messy you'll have to take a bath

Shadow- o.o''' um...never mind....Can Sonic do it?

Sonic- *Blinks and sits in front of him* Sure Lil' Faker *Grabs a spoon and takes the bowl Amy handed to him and scoops some up* Open up kiddo

~Shadow opens his mouth and Sonic puts the spoon in~

Sonic-*Pulls spoon back out and lets Shadow eat* Well? Is it good?

~Shadow nods and opens back up for more~

Sonic- Ok then ^^ *Scoops up some more and keeps feeding him* Hum...maybe we should get him of those little hotdogs babies can eat

Amy- Does he have the teeth for that though? *Filling a bottle with milk and putting it in the frigderator*

Sonic- Are you kidding?? HE may only have a few teeth but there Sharpe enough, trust me *rubs the spot where Shadow had bit him*

~Shadow giggles~

Sonic- *Grins* Oh you think that’s funny huh?

~Shadow shakes his head "ho" but keeps giggling~

Sonic- Oh ya?? Well maybe you'll find THIS funny

~Sonic puts the food and spoon to the side and starts tickling Shadow's feet, Shadow's eyes grow wide and he stars giggling his head off and squirming around~

Amy- Careful Sonic, he just ate and I don't want him burping up *Looks at a clock* Oh!! I almost forgot! I have to go meet Mina at the mall!

Sonic-*Stops* Alright Amy, hope you have a good time

Amy- Thanks ^^ *Kisses Shadow on the cheek and ruffles his fur* Bye sweetie, Be a good boy for Daddy ok? ^^ bye Sonic ^^ and don't forget to Give him a bottle after lunch and one between now and dinner might be good also

Sonic- *chuckles* Ok, goodbye Amy, you’re going to be late

Amy- Oh my gosh! Your right! Bye!! 8runs out*

Shadow- Uhg...*Fixes fur and rubs cheek* Does she HAVE to do that?? -.-

Sonic- Most likely X3 now, you want to finish up your lunch?

~Shadow nods so Sonic feeds him the rest of the jar, he then grabs a bottle and takes Shadow into the front and sits on the couch with Shadow on his lap~

Sonic- I got you some Apple juice instead of milk, I thought you'd like that better for a snack ^^

Shadow- Apple juice? *Looking at the brownish liquid*

Sonic- Ya, you've had it before right?

~Shadow shakes his head~

Sonic- you haven’t?!?!? It’s like uh...drinking apples X3 I'm sure you'll like it ^^

Shadow-...I like apples...*Takes a suck* O.O...*smiles a little and leans back against Sonic as he continues to drink*

Sonic- Good huh? *grins as he pats his head and turns on the TV*

~Sonic turns it to a cartoon show to see how Shadow would take it and he did fine, Shadow just laid there sucking on his bottle watching the bright colored characters do there skits, he even giggled a few times ~

Shadow- *Bottle is empty* Um...Sonic?

Sonic- Ya shadow? *looks down at him*

Shadow- Uh...Can I have some more...Please?

Sonic- *Grins* sure ^^ you really like it don't you? *puts Shadow to the side and takes the bottle*

Shadow ^^; *Nods* It's good

Sonic- I'll be right back *Walks off*

Shadow- Okay...*Looks back at the T.V.....starts sucking his thumb*....O.O *pulls it out* Oy! I...am...not...a...thumb sucker......*Looks to the kitchen....then back to the TV...then down to his tiny thumb*....Maybe just until Sonic gets back...*Starts sucking again*

Sonic-*Walks back* Ok, here you go ^^...*Blinks*...Are you sucking on your thumb?

~Shadow shakes his head "no" ~

Sonic- Oh really? Then what’s that in your mouth?

Shadow-*Pulls thumb out blushing slightly*...Um...Juice?

Sonic-Shadow...how many times do I have to tell you not to lie??

Shadow-..Sorry...

Sonic- Much better...Here you go *Hands him the bottle*

Shadow- Thank you *Sucks on it*

Sonic- Hum...it's not good for babies to just watch TV all day...I think I'll go see if Cream wants to play with you

Shadow- *Spits juice out* CREAM!?!?!?! e.O Are you crazy?!?!?

Sonic- Nope *Picks him up and sets him in a playpen* Now be good and stay here while I go see if she can play with you *zooms off*

Shadow- o.o; I’m...doomed...
