THE BABE MACHINE

Part Four

Week one Day Three..

~ The next morning Shadow felt himself being picked up and started to cry like most young children do when woken up when there still tired but a hand gently rubbed his back as he was carried to the changing table, calming him back down he yawned as he was lain down and taken out of his pajamas and sucked on his thumb with his eyes shut as his diaper was changed~

Amy- *Tosses the dirty diaper in the trash* Poor little guys' all tuckered out from all his crying yesterday...*sighs* I wish I'd have been here to help...

Sonic- Hey, It's alright Amy, it's not like either of us can just put our lives on hold...besides, he's fine now ^^

Amy- Ya...I guess...Thanks ^^

Sonic- No problem Ames *Grins* So..Should we wake him up?

Amy- Nah  *Places Shadow carefully back in his crib* Lets let him sleep till he wakes up ^^

Sonic- Ok

~A few hours later Shadow starts to  wake up, he sits up rubbing his eyes~

Shadow- Wow...It feels great being able to sleep in till...

~Shadow looked up at the clock on the wall~

Shadow- 2:30?!?!? OY!!! Why didn't my alarm go of-....oh ya..I forgot..*Sighs then puts a hand of his stomach*....I'm hungry...

~Shadow sighs again and crawls over to the crib's bars to pull himself to his feet~

Shadow-*Wobbles slightly* SONIC?!?!??!...WHERES MY FOOD????......*Blinks, there's no answer*..Sonic?...*Ears flatten slightly*....H..Hello?...S..Sonic!..t..this i..isn't funny!!...w.why hasn't he come?!.....*starts tearing up as his stomach growls*...W.wait!..get ahold of your self!...t..there has t. to be a reason h.h.he hasn't come y.yet...*Stomach growls again*...ow!..I...i...I'm hungry!.....S..S..SONIC!!!! *Sits down crying*

~Meanwhile, in the front room~

Amy- *Looking under the couch cushions* Oohh..Sonic!..where on Mobius did you put that baby monitor??? *Ears twitch* Hum?..Oh! Shadow!

~Finally hearing Shadow's cries she runs to the nursery ~

Amy- Shadow! my poor little baby! whats wrong?!?

~Shadow tries to tell her that he was incredibly hungry and... well he had been afraid that Sonic had left him all alone, but when he tried to tell her it all came out in a mess of gibberish and tears as he buried his face in her dress and clinged to her after she had picked him up~

Amy- What? slow down and try again sweetie *rubbing his back*

~shadow was about to try to tell her again but his stomach let out an almost unearthly roar, he was so hungry his stomach hurt..alot...he had gone days without food before but now that was simply not an option~

Amy- Oy! I better get you something to eat now!

~Amy quickly took Shadow to the kitchen and sat him in his highchair, he was still crying as she put his new bib with velcro ends around his neck and warmed up a bowl of food~

Amy- Shh.shh. It's ok sweetie, Mommy has something for you to eat ^^ *wiping away some of his tears*

Shadow- *shadow sniffled and heaved and tried his best to stop*W..w..wheres..s...s..Sonic..a...a..Amy??

Amy- We got a distress call from G.U.N. and Daddy went to help....Awwww..Did you think he left you by yourself??

Shadow-*Tearing up again*..M..m...maybe...a...a.and h.he's not m..m.my d.dad..

Amy- Aw...*rubs the side of his head*..no more tears..neither of us would ever just leave you ok?...

Shadow-..R..r..really?..*looking up at her rubbing one of his eyes*

Amy- *Smiles* Yes really...Were never going to just abandoned you...and if something happens..we'll come get you ok?...

~Shadow just stares at her a moment...then starts lightly crying and reaches his arms out to her, Amy grins and picks him up cradling him~

Amy- Ya know what..I think we'll just skip to you're bottle ok?

~Shadow nods and stops crying, and sucks on his warm bottle once she gets it ready, later on Sonic finally gets back~

Sonic- Amy?? I'm back..

Amy- yay! ^^ how'd it go?

Sonic- Not good..it was a false alarm, not a G.U.N. member in sight but there was a Robotnik ambush...

Amy- Oohhh! Are you and the others ok??

Sonic- Of course *Chuckles* You think any of old Egghead's bots could even touch me?*Smirks* and the others are fine as well ^^

Amy- Whoo..Great ^^..How'd he fake a G.U.N. distress call though?

Sonic- Not sure..Rotors' working on it though...

Amy- Ok..Oh! you better go say hello to Shadow

Sonic- Why?

Amy- Well, when he woke up, I didn't hear him calling at first and he thought that you had left him alone ^^;

Sonic- aw..Poor little faker.. He awake?

Amy- Yes ^^ He's in  the playpen in the nursery

Sonic- Ok, Thanks , I'll go say hi ^^

~As Sonic walked down the hall Rouge had reported in to the nearest G.U.N. base and had told everyone about Shadow's "little" problem...~

G.U.N. commander-...Are you sure?

Rouge- *places her pictures on his desk* 100%...

G.U.N Commander- *Picks them up and studies them*..Hum...This might be the chance we've been looking for....If we can get ahold of Project shadow while he's in this state...we might be able to more easily control him....

Rouge-*Blinks* Wait, Commander..you want to kidnap him??..but

G.U.N Commander- Thank you for the information Rouge..you're dismissed..

Rouge- But..*sighs and leaves the room* Hum..perhaps I should have kept this to my self...
